Hi Robert you definitely shouldn't overboard the floor with chipboard it is not suitable for the job, use either WBP plywood or tile backer boards which are securely fixed to the floor. You also need to use a suitable flexible adhesive to fix the tiles, your supplier can advise you on this. Ed
