Hairline cracks in ceiling after cavity insulation removed

Posted by Sarah John, on
I recently had cavity wall insulation removed from my property as it was causing damp issues. It was installed prior to me purchasing and was not suitable. Any how it has been removed and the damp has dried. I’ve been using a dehumidifier to help as per the advice. I have noticed since it’s been removed that there are a lot of small hairline cracks appearing in the the ceilings. Someone mentioned it may be simply the whole house is now drying and this is the cause. Any ideas please? Thankyou.
