HI Mel It prob can be repaired but as for being done cheaply depends what you call cheap.How old is the fan? The electrician would need to buy/fit motor plus labour,travel etc I would say you could be looking at least 40 pound. Might be costing a new fan and then deciding which way to go Hope it helps a little Russ
