Setting the right budget

How much should you expect to pay?

We know it's difficult to estimate how much a project will cost, that's why we've surveyed our tradesmen to give you an idea of how much you should expect to pay for specific jobs. Tradesmen all across the country have contributed to the cost guides, so the costs you see are an approximate national average.

Pressure washing £100 £150 £100 £200 £150 £250

Pressure washing the patio, slabs or decking is a great way to make the garden area sparkle before the summer sets in. Winter washes mud, debris and leaves across the garden, as well as encouraging mildew, mould and general dirt. Pressure washing the area is the obvious solution here, but you will find that a professional will have better equipment and do a better job than you could with your supermarket pressure hose.

The cheap pressure washers are okay for a short burst to maintain a small patio area, but they will not be able to deal with a full on spring cleaning job. The pressure is often not high enough and those that have decent pressure will often fail after a couple of hours.

Pressure washing can also be used on brickwork and fences to give a good, clean look to the whole garden. A professional should be able to work in a few hours with a pressure washing into a day of gardening or other maintenance work.

Rated People surveyed 107 of our gardeners across the country to give you an idea of the approximate costs for a range of work in your garden. Please note these prices are average, do not include materials and are offered as guidance only, to help you budget when posting a job on Rated People. For a free quote tailored to your specific requirements, please contact one of our local gardeners and garden designers.
