|Architrave or skirting||£60||£200|
If you have had sockets installed or removed, or if you have moved doors or locks, then there is a chance that you may have holes in your architrave or skirting board that need to be repaired. You may also have decaying or damp patches that you want to remove and replace, or parts that you may want to move or adjust. In all of these cases a skilled carpenter or joiner should be able to advise you on the best course of action before giving you a price and carrying out the work.
In most cases, a skilled tradesman will be able to patch architrave or skirting where there are holes in it. They will also be able to remove pieces as necessary and glue in new parts of matching skirting or architrave to make an invisible repair.
This is a skilled job and the size of the piece of skirting or architrave that need repairing or replacing will determine the cost of the job. If you have period skirting or architraves then these may cost a little more to match and replace. Once the replacement or repair is made your tradesman will repaint the patched part of the skirting or architrave. In some cases they may need to paint the whole of the architrave or skirting to make a good match.
