Setting the right budget

How much should you expect to pay?

We know it's difficult to estimate how much a project will cost, that's why we've surveyed our tradesmen to give you an idea of how much you should expect to pay for specific jobs. Tradesmen all across the country have contributed to the cost guides, so the costs you see are an approximate national average.

Sliding doors

Low High
French doors £40 £90

When it is time to replace your sliding doors you should always use an experienced professional to carry out the job, so that you get a good tidy finish and your doors are fitted well enough to last. Your door specialist will first remove any old doors that you are replacing before tidying up and repairing any tracking that is to be re-used for the new doors.

If you are having new tracks fitted then your tradesman will remove thi, along with the doors and take these away before fitting new tracks, door runners and doors. The cost of the doors and any extras, such as track, will determine the cost of the job. Sliding doors vary greatly in price, so always ask your tradesman about the options and for his opinion on which doors offer the greatest durability and value.
