Could really do with knowing what kind of wall separates the two areas. If its a cavity wall you could try having it injected. I would imagine its a solid wall though so you would probably have to build a timber stud wall abutting it which you could then infill will a mineral wool specifically designed for sound proofing, the wall would then have to be plasterboarded, skimmed and decorated. This would make the room a bit smaller though. Alternatively you could 'dot and dab' insulated plasterboard to the party wall, this method would be cheaper but not as effective.
