I had removed a full chimney from downstairs and upstairs. An RSJ was put in, however, i have a long crack on my walls downstairs and on the ceiling ?

Did you get a Structural Engineer to provide a specification? Or did the Builder make his own assumptions? Were pad stones used? Once in position was there any packing placed between the Beam and the brickwork?
