Water/window problem

Posted by Helen Whitehead, on
We have a problem with a UPVC window in that when it has rained in the last week we have water pouring in along the inside of the window. There is a sign of damp around the outside top corner of the window but it is only in the last week that so much water has come inside. I am not sure whether this is a brick/building problem or a window problem in that the seal needs looking at. Could you please advise the best course of action.

UPVC windows have welded joints, the actual window cannot leak , it must be the joint of the window to the wall.

its not the window / look at the out side if its coming in over the top you might have to get a bit of lead cut the length of the window so that the rains its the surface meets the lead then drips over top missing the window. sides check there is no gaps if so fill in properly , you might have to cut the old and start again you cant keep added on top it dont stick very well.
