Removing walls in a timber framed house

Posted by Neil Smith, on
We'd like to increase the size of the current upstairs bathroom by expanding into the airing and bedroom cupboards which join onto the bathroom via internal plasterboard walls. Would there be a problem removing these walls in a 1980s timber framed house? Are any internal walls likely to be loadbearing in a timber framed construction?

There is a beam at the top of the stairs that will almost always be load bearing, do not take any chances, get it looked at professionally.
