Can i remove any load bearing wall as long as i have an rsj fitted

I am moving to a new house that has been extended to the side in lounge but still has an archway left,presumably because its a load bearing wall,The whole side is pointless if the arch cannot go as the side extention is very small and is a total waste of space. Can i remove the arch if i have a rsj fitted? please help as i havent a clue.
