It's not straightforward but it's simple in theory you have to support the wall above and insert an rsj steel hope this helps

I'm looking to knockdown the wall between front room & dining room in my terraced property, the wall is load bearing, in the sense that it has a wall above it but it runs adjacent to the joists. Is this a straight forward job for a builder?
