Use 100mm , aluminium backed ridged insulated plaster board . You can easily glue it to the existing wall with a foam adhesive. Very easy to do!

I have a single brick 'extension' at the back of my house which extends from the attached garage.
It is cold and I want it insulated/cladded.
How should I do this?

You can have it pumped into cavity it can be fixed external and rendered or internally and plastered
