When we had our garage door replaced, a 6mm plinth was removed from the top of the frame to make room for the mechanism.
However, this plinth was in place for fire regulations as there is a bedroom above the garage.
There is no longer room to replace it like for like but is there anything else I can do make it safer?
The beam and insulation are now exposed directly above the garage door frame.
