£10k upfront, £15k as the job goes on, £5k payable @end, is this ok?

Posted by Scott Morrison, on
30k renovation job never been through this before so want some advice, just been asked for £10k upfront (fair enough for materials), with £15k payable as job progresses and £5k on completion of works. Is that standard?? Many Thanks Scott

33% upfront is a lot if the company has no funds Then they should stick to the £300 jobs easy to do a company check If someone asked me for £10,000 upfront personally alarm bells would be ringing Shawn Slb

I normally do stage payments 5 upfront 5 out of footing at damp course 10 at first floor 5 at wall plate 5 on completion
