Insulate external wall that is plasterboard and wooden tile cladding

External wall of terraced house has internal walls of plasterboard and external surface of wooden tiles - nothing in between. What's the best way to insulate this? I thought maybe take down the plasterboard and put kingspan between the joists, then replace and skim.
