Spit Room

Posted by Diep Tran, on
I would like to split a big room in 2 smaller rooms. Do I need planning permission? No change in the structure/wall.

Dominic Green

Planning permission is not required, but please takes head as building regulations will be, if not sought this could effect a future sale of property. Regards thebuilderssw.com

Hi, you should only need permission if the property is listed, the best thing is to give your local council a call and they will tell you what is required. Regards Tim

By law , each room must have an opening window or sufficient mechanical ventilation in place of a window if the room is to be used as habital space , if it's a cupboard only , no problem then .
