Can see what you mean about condensation gravitating to the coldest place (the windows) but one has to ask 1 What can i do about that and 2. Surely something if not the window then has to be the coldest place so wouldnt the problem merely be shunted round ?

Hi David you need to improve the ventilation (and some cases heating)in the room. Without surveying your property I would suggest the coring and fitting of a standard 100mm vent and treat the mould with a fungicide,not a standard home cleaner . tommy

Hi David, go on the internet and purchase a cheep humidity meter . Your humidity should be 55% or lower . Correct ventilation is the answer , google a HRV150-12hour fan . If your windows are single glazed , think about a plastic film that B&Q sell to go over the window . But the HRV is the eventual answer ...
