How many rooflights and what size?

I am having a 5mtr x 3mtr extention built on the back of my property. The extension will have large patio doors out to the garden and two small windows on either side. How many skylights would you advise and at what size to make sure they exention is as bright as possible? I am considering not installing the windows on either side as there is no focal point as there is only a facing on 3 meters away to look at.

it depends on what type & pitch of roof you have. if it is lean to and is less than 13.5 * then the pitch is to low and they will leak if it is an apex or hip the area of each pitch will determine the size of the skylights talk to your architect to change the drawings as these changes will need to go through the planning people for approval before you continue
