Dripping Leak

We have a dripping leak from under the sills of bedroom windows. I attempted to re-point the brickwork adjacent to the side of the worst affected window to no effect. The house had a basement built 4-5 years ago and I was wondering if cracks in the brickwork could result in this kind of leakage, or if something else is going on?? Any ideas?
