Faulty work, what recourse do I have?

Posted by Giulia Holland, on
On purchasing a new house, it turns out there are many problems. These are connected with the initial build. It is now just under 12 months since purchase date, and the builder wont respond and put things right. What can I do?

Hi Giulia all new houses will come with a guarantee , NHBC or similar, if you are having no luck with the builder it would be best to contact the company that issued the guarantee. You should have details of the guarantee from when you purchased the house, if not contact the solicitor you used for the purchase and they should be able to help. Hope this helps. Ed.

Hello Gilulia, Go and see a lawer, if it's a new house then you will almost certainly have guarantees. Regards Michael.
