Which trade makes balconies?

I want to commission someone to provide and install a balcony. Which trade would do that? They don't appear in Rated People's categories. Also... who would do paving?

Hi With regards to the balcony a good general builder or house builder should be able to achieve this for you. For the paving part of your question then again a general builder/landscaper/grounds worker

Maybe you should advertise in the joiners section(woodwork) also paving would come under flagging or general maintence with the right tradesmen hope all goes well

Hi peter, I only know one person that does Balconies he is a welder by trade. And as for paving I do alot of it ill be happpy to quote if your not to far from ws10 8TW thanks Chris. ( C j Williams brickwork limited)

Depending on what the balcony was made of e.g if it was wood it would be a joiner if it was metal it would be an iron monger or someone who makes railings and gates most welders fabricators would do this type of job as for paving the trade your looking for is called a flagger

The builder would survey the job and get a blacksmith or engineering firm to make the railings to a drawing , the builder would then install it in place , you would need architects drawings also

A good general builder could do the job no problem , the reason it's not mentioned is because it's a very rare request , I'm sure if you put the job on rated people you will find someone good , no one will take the job on unless they can do the job to a high standard , they wouldn't risk the bad feedback
