Demolish or remodel?

Posted by Ciara Scallon, on
What are the merits of remodeling an existing bungalow rather than demolishing? How much per metre for demolition? How much per metre to build a timber framed house? (In Suffolk) Do planners generally allow demolition for 1960's bungalows? Thanks.

Hello Ciara. It would depend on how much you wanted to extend it by. We would require £6000 for demolishing an average house, £1000 per sq metre would be a far cost to allow. Planners will not be interested you taking your house down. (Unless it was listed ) Regards Michael
