Load bearing wall

Posted by beth slade, on
I am considering purchasing my first property, a terrace house. I would like to remove their load bearing wall to add a bit of extra width but I think the electric metre is attached to this wall. Would this make it a lot more expensive?

Hi Beth Is it the meter and or the consumer unit, these are very different things, if you are not sure ask a local electrician for advise and a quote, this should be free. Regards Ian Handyman express

Hi Beth You would have to get in touch with your electricity supplier and ask them for a quote to move your meter. They are the only people allowed to move it. It used to be the M.E.B. Or other electricity boards. Not sure who it is now. JC
