Planning permission question

Posted by Gareth Wood, on
We're buying a house which has had an internal supporting wall removed but there is about a foot of wall left at the the ceiling. Does this need planning permission?

Do you mean if you want to take it out ? I think you will find that the foot of wall left in in an r s j encased in plaster. The reason it is there is that it is probably supporting the floor joists above it. Is there a wall above it ? You need to post it as a job and have someone have a look at it. JC
