Estimate for repairs following survey

Posted by Andy Bissell, on
I'm looking for someone to provide estimates following a survey I've had on a property. Can I request estimates only here (as I don't own the property yet), and if so would one trade be able to cover things like leaking shower, gas certificate for fire, potential blocked drain, chimney pointing? I don't want to have to get several trades out if I can help it.

Andy hi. By what you have written i would say you need a plumber and a builder. But before you ask for any estimates on a property you don't own remember that the trade have to buy your lead, which means you would be VERY lucky to get a response. its bad enough buying a lead and then quoting against two others, but when the prospective client doesn't own the house its regarded as wasted money by the trade. I would suggest you ask for estimates and explain in your description that the budget is set £100 or less so it doesn't cost the trade to much to buy the lead.

What would you like to do now?
