Damp on a Ground Floor Wall

Posted by Derek Roberts, on
We have mold and damp coming through on the outside wall of a ground floor room. What could be causing it?

Ok, because of the sensitive nature of black spot mould, it will not grow where there is damp because the salts in the damp kill the mould. What you have is condensation . Black spot mould will only grow where there is condensation . This could be because of low temperatures to the wall but it is always because of high relative humidity . Ventilate !
