Kitchen fitter vs builder?

Posted by Lorna Dunhill, on
I'm thinking about knocking through from kitchen to dining room to create a kitchen diner, with a new kitchen fitted and flooring, plus blocking off a door and window. Is it better to have a builder just do the structural work and flooring/walls etc, then have the kitchen company (eg Magnet) fit the actual kitchen? Or, is it better to just order the units etc and have the builder install and do it all? Or can builders get better deals buying the kitchen too?

I would get building work done by a builder then go to smaller kitchen company, not magnet or b&q you will get the same kitchen from local kitchen company supplied & fitted for the same price, as just the kichen from the big 3 whickes B&Q Magnet
