Hi, Due to leak coming from upstairs flat, our builder had to take out part of ceiling to locate source of leak. He then said two joists need replacing (not because of the leak, just that they weren't suitable ones.) I was wondering who is responsible for joists on the ceiling. Us or the owners of the flat above? Its a share of freehold flata. Some one did reply back to this query but it wasn't clear and there isn't an option for me to query further. Please help!
