What kind of tradesman are we looking for and further qeustions

Posted by Herbert Dazo, on
Hello, I am currently in the process of purchasing a house and once through we'd like to quickly as possible have one non-supporting wall removed, carpets taken out in whole house and replaced with wood flooring (estimated 80 square meter + stairs). After removal of the wall and flooring we need a simple stair railing to be installed( as this is where the wall was) What kind of tradesmen are we looking for each job, is there someone who does all. Anything else we should be aware off. Kind Regards Herb

Hi Herbert you need a good carpenter ( who fits wood floors) as most of the jobs are timber based, I would advise you remove the carpets yourself If you are able to as this will save you money. There will probably be some plaster patching to the wall but most carpenters will know a plasterer. Ed

Post the job once you've exchanged contracts, then people will take you seriously and buy the lead!
