Get in touch with the local authority for your intended new house and ask them what was involved, who issued the building notice, are they happy with the work carried out. That should do for a start. Jc
Building notice Vs Building regulations?

We are currently in the process of buying a house that has a 2 storey side extension and internal works that included removing an internal wall to the attached old garage to increase the size of the kitchen.
All these works were completed under a building notice not building regulations.
Is this something we should be concerned with ? What questions should we be asking to ensure the works have been completed to a satisfactory standard ?
Any advise appreciated.
