Hi Sandra Has the Rsj got a bearing of six inches (150 mm) or more. Does it have a pad stone ( concrete block ) under it. If you are unsure get a builder to look at it for you. Jc

I've taken the timber covering off the wall and exposed the RSJ but am concerned it's not properly supported. How do I find out and what can I do if it isn't?
