If the frost line is 16-20 inches, do I have to go that deep for my footing? Does all of that depth have to be concrete or can I have an 8 inch footing on 12 inches of stone? I'm building a small 12x20 barn out of cinder blocks, and I want to make sure I'm not going to have problems. Any help you offer is greatly appreciated!
