Winter concrete

Posted by Andrea PHILLIPS, on
I need to have a base made for a shed to stand on. Can concrete be laid in the winter? Also what kind of tradesman do I need? Thanks

Hi Andrea concrete can be layed in the winter, it will need to be covered if a frost is expected. A builder/brick layer would do this for you. Ed

Andrew hi. yes you can lay concrete in winter just make sure when it is laid the temp doesn't drop below 3 degrees, a good builder will know, there are also additives to protect from frost, and covering the concrete while it is in the drying time will also protect it
