Do we need to hire an architect for a kitchen extension that includes knocking together the existing kitchen and dining room, and squaring off existing kitchen extension... How do we find a provider who will do everything i.e. design and build?

Hi Naomi You should not need to use an architect for this kind of job however if the wall is load bearing you will need a structural engineers report and advice for calculating beam size and conforming to building regulation with your local authority if this is the case you will also need any electrical alterations to be done under part P regs to be accepted by council. Post the job on Rated and give full description of your requirements All the best Steve
