Composite door replacement

Yesterday the police broke down my front door, believing that I was inside and in danger (I wasn't.) I now have to replace the door. It has been secured. I am a leaseholder within an estate, and the management committee have informed me that it has to be a composite door. What advice can you give me about this? I know they have to be ready made, and that it seems to be the most expensive kind of door.
