Can I remove the chimney from the ground floor only or do I have to remove all the way up to the attic?

Hi A chimney can be removed from ground floor only but you need a good builder who understands fully about support work and inserting lintels at the correct places to keep the rest of the chimney above up. Maybe best getting a drawing and structural report done before letting anyone tackle it. It's an easy job with correct knowledge but could be an absolute nightmare if unsure what to do and could bring a lot of trouble to you. I hope this helps you
