Insulation

Another question regarding my cold 1950s semi bungalow brick walls and concrete floor which is freezing in winter and chilly in summer.I want to start inside insulation in the kitchen first,but my kitchen is in good order and only about 5 years old ,would it be at all possible to remove kitchen appliances and units etc.install insulation and kind of replace as much as poss of old kitchen or will this need a complete new kitchen?Any advice would be great

Why are you removing kitchen to install insulation? Why don't you get cavity insulation pumped in ,if you haven't got cavity walls you can have ewi Installed this is insulation stuck on the outside walls then rendered ,it has a great u value and keeps you nice and warm keeping your bills down and cool in the summer a bit like a thermos flask. I'm working on one in Kidderminster it's a great system and means there is no upset inside the property.

Hi Dale if you carefully remove the units there should be no problem re-using them, at worst you may have to have new worktops. Ed
