Can you put a freestanding gazebo on a patio?

Posted by Victoria , on
Can you put a freestanding gazebo on a patio without having to dig up the patio ground? i.e. How can we secure it without having to do any ground work, or is it simply impossible? We have a garden not a lawn so putting it in the soil is also not an option.

Hello Victoria, The simple answer is Yes! The wooden posts or "Columns" can be fixed into what is called a "Met Post" or similar they are a sleeve that can be anchored (screwed or fixed) to the existing slab and then the post fixed into that. These are available both online or at a local DIY store, they range in sizes so if it is a home project my advice would be to do a little research. Hope this helps.
