House drains

Posted by David Llewellyn, on
I have recently moved to a new house, built around 1997, and removed the previous owners ivy from around the back wall. There is a drain from the sink but where the ivy has been growing there is a void where I would expect to see soil/gravel/stuff and I can now see the underground pipes below a concrete lintel. This is obviously not right and would give access to rodents under the house. What can I fill the void with to stop the little sods getting in?

What would you like to do now?
