We've had water leak from a water tank in the loft. It has soaked some boards in the loft, gone down into the bedroom below and the living room below that. It has also stained wallpaper in both rooms and cracked both ceilings, having run along the joists. it's clear some redecoration is required, but also the ceilings may well need to be skimmed and I need a professional opinion as to weather the boards in the loft will need to be replaced. Whilst the leak has been fixed and the dry weather has ensured the escaped water has dried up, potentially we will need a decorator and plasterer, in addition possibly to a tradesman to replace damaged loft boards.
I've just completed the Rated People questionnaire in respect of a decorator, but ideally I need a quote for repairs to all the damage, as already requested by our insurance company.
