Help pls

Posted by Shahi Alom, on
I had some works carried out before moving in. I'm concerned about how some of the works were undertaken.  Two chimney breast were removed, concerned that they might not have correctly fixed and secured in new timber joints to fill void. area is now very squeaky and I can see screw combig through ceiling. Where the kitchen wall was removed i think they have possibly taken down a load baring wall, wall in question was staggered i.e ground floor wall wasn't in line with top floor but still may be load baring. Would appreciate some advice about how best to go about checking what was done an if necessary remedial works required to make good.
