Hello
We have two chimney breasts in the bedrooms upstairs. Where the fireplace would have been now has a mantle and is tiled over, with a horrible looking metal vent to allow air flow.
We'd like to remove the mantle, knock the tiles through and create something of a feature with this space - but without putting a fireplace in. The question is how do we vent this space without having one of those grills and without having soot drop down onto the floor/ hearth!?
Any help would be much appreciated.
