Posted by Lisa Reinhardt, on
I currently have an internal door lock on my kitchen/living room door. It's the type you use a star key for. Now want to fit one to my living room/hall door ASAP... Nervy after a recent break in...also home alone whilst my fiancé is away!! Lisa

Hello Lisa, You can fit these yourself. You just need to drill a 16mm hole in the vertical rail (stile) of your door. If there is a good gap of say 4mm between the door edge and frame you could get away with chopping in the locks face plate. All that is left is to mark where you want the hole for the star key to go and drill a 9mm hole through to the main hole but not all the way. I hope this is what you wanted.
