Hi You can soundproof a wall by installing a genie clip system to the wall, then its a case of fixing special acoustic plasterboard to this and then skim over. Acoustic plasterboard looks the same as standard, however it has a higher mass to absorb sound. That is just one of many ways, and id advise you get a reputable company/contractor to carry out the works. Hope this helps.
