Cupboard

Posted by Tricia Birnie, on
I have bought a wooden kitchen cupboard which has 2 brackets on the back which will fit onto screws needed in the wall but one will be into solid material + the other will be into plasterboard. I do want to keep this cupboard but am worried there will not be adequate support - I just want to put plates + ornaments on it.

Hi Tricia You don't say if it's a floor cupboard or a wall cupboard ?i am assuming its a wall unit. Where the screw will go into the plasterboard you can get a fixing that you screw into the plasterboard whith a screw in it that you put through the bracket and screw it into the fixing. If you have a good hardwear store near you, not a big multi as they rarely know what they are talking about. Even a builders merchant will have them. They are called plasterboard fixings. Best of luck JC
