Hi Martin a squeak is normally caused by movement in the treads and risers, examine the area that's squeaking to identify the problem. Pour PVA glue into the joint and screw together, you may need to get to the underside of the staircase to fix some areas this may involve removing plasterboard to gain access. Ed
