Oak Furniture useful to repurpose?

Posted by Mike Beukes, on
We are currently refurbishing our home and have quite a few oak furniture pieces we would like to get rid of. These pieces include a large oak sideboard approx 2.4m (length) with glass doors. We have a large oak extendable dining table with 6 chairs. An oak tv unit etc. All of these items were expensive and are in excellent condition. We were advised that carpenters may be interested in purchasing these items to repurpose in some way? Any advice/suggestions? Thank you.

Hi Bianca There is always a call for good oak furniture. There is a company that deals in just that. Hines of Oxford. Or put it on eBay JC

Hi I doubt any carpenter would be particularly interested in purchasing the furniture and if they did they would not want to pay a lot, you would be best to try and sell as it is. Try one of the on-line sales sites but don't expect to get anything like what you paid for it! Ed
