What's the best way to remove wallpaper?

Hi Jen. I would suggest getting a steamer, buying one would only be about £ 25, and steaming it off. If the paper is quite modern, you should be able to peel the top part of the paper off, and use a sponge and water to get the rest of the paper off (thus saving the cost of a steamer, but incurring far more time).

Hi Jen. If its vinyl take take a corner and pull it off. This will leave the backing paper. Take a roller and soak that with water. Leave for a few minutes till its goes dark and this can sraped off easy enough with a 6in razor scraper. Woodchip paper is best removed with a razor scraper. Most paer wallpapers can be soaked with a roller and scraped off with the razor. Be carefull with a steamer though. If the plaster underneath is old you can run the risk of causing it to "blow" from the wall, which means the skim coat has detached from subsurface.
