I have to aggree with you both. Also as an ask a question expert I do think the public as a whole have no idea as to a realistic cost of work required. I have people saying under a grand for one tile and others wanting a new double garage roof for under a hundred. Rated people should review this and also compensate us experts with a free lead or two for our time answering the questions.
i also agree with all your comments i have fetched this up before with rated and think there some kind of guide price.but some people do go for the silly jobs £100 for a staircase a joke.
Hi David. I am also a tradesman on this site and help with the 'ask an expert'. I do agree with you, then again I have also seen unrealistic budgets the opposite way, where people put say £30,000 for painting a door.
